Anelka: In the running
The contenders for November's PFA Fans' Player of the Month awards have been announced.
Voting is well under way across all four divisions and you can make sure you give your backing to your favourite by clicking here.
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is putting up quite a scrap in a bid to retain the top honour in the monthly PFA Fans' Awards.
Fabregas continues to inspire his team, both as a leader and a midfield creator, and it's hard to believe he's still only 22.
The November award is far from won for the Spaniard however, as he faces serious competition for the monthly prize from the likes of Wayne Rooney and Chelsea duo Nicolas Anelka and John Terry.
Sunderland goal machine Darren Bent could also make a late run for the line after yet another winner for the Black Cats last weekend.
Michael Essien and Andrey Arshavin are also in with an outside chance after producing some fine displays in November.
Newcastle midfielder Kevin Nolan is a leading contender to win back-to-back PFA Fans' Player of the Month awards and, not surprisingly, a couple of his Magpies team-mates are also in the running.
Steve Harper, so long in the shadow of ex-Newcastle favourite Shay Given, has now established himself as the No.1 at St James' Park, while former England international Alan Smith is also in contention as the driving force in the Toon midfield.
If anyone is going to prevent a Newcastle star from winning the award this month, then that player could be Swansea midfielder Darren Pratley, who scored a memorable brace in the Swans' recent derby win against Cardiff.
Millwall striker Neil Harris and Brighton & Hove Albion forward Glenn Murray are looking to prevent a third consecutive fans' award winner from Leeds United.
Usual contender Jermaine Beckford is joined by Whites team-mate Patrick Kisnorbo, with the Elland Road outfit running away at the top of League One.
Veteran striker Harris has bagged two hat-tricks so far this season, and has 11 goals in total for the Lions.
Murray, who has scored four goals in three appearances this November, is well in the mix as well, so any of these four could take PFA honours.
Former winners Brett Pitman and Calvin Zola are in contention again this month, as the race for League Two honours picks up pace with November coming to a close.
The two strikers won in September and October respectively, but will need to beat Notts County frontman Lee Hughes in the voting to take another honour.
Bournemouth defender Jason Pearce proves that it is not just strikers gaining recognition, and could take the award if he continues to impress for the Cherries.
