Hart: Shoot-out hero

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes believes there is a lot more to come from his UEFA Cup hero Joe Hart.

The City goalkeeper saved two spot-kicks as the Blues went through 4-2 on penalties against Danish side FC Midtjylland.

Hart has won 11 caps for England's Under-21s and was rewarded with his senior international debut in a friendly against Trinidad & Tobago this summer.

The 21-year-old was named in the latest Under-21 squad on Wednesday and Hughes feels he has the potential to become England's regular No.1.

"Is he ready for England? Well, he's already an excellent goalkeeper, most keepers get better with age and he's only young," he said.

"Before I worked with him I'd always been impressed and he came up trumps for us again. Joe was excellent, he's a big character and a big personality."
