Diouf: Axed

El Hadji Diouf wants showdown talks with Bolton after being axed for the club's opening day loss to Newcastle.

The former Liverpool ace came on in the second half, with The Trotters three-down to Sam Allardyce's charges.

Diouf is now seeking talks with manager Sammy Lee to see whether Allardyce's replacement has faith in his ability.

The temperamental Senegalese star has hinted his future may lie away from The Reebok, if he is not impressed with Lee's answers.

"I want to talk with the chairman and the manager because I want everything to be clear in my head," explained Diouf.

"The best thing is for him to show me he has confidence. If he tells me he has confidence, I do well.

"If I don't see that, I don't think I can stay here. They decided I wasn't playing, though, and that was that."
