Sunderland boss Roy Keane was left frustrated after his side's unfortunate 3-1 defeat to West Ham.

The Black Cats were unlucky to come away from Upton Park with nothing after dominating for most of the second half, after Kenwyne Jones cancelled out Carlton Cole's first half opener.

An unfortunate own goal from Craig Gordon and Craig Bellamy's injury-time strike helped give West Ham a fortuitous victory.

Keane admitted he was not annoyed not to get anything from the game.

Annoyed

"Annoyed would probably be an understatement I have to say," Keane told Sky Sports 1.

"That's football but you make your own luck and I don't want to be interviewed every week saying we've been unlucky.

"That's football and you have to deal with it and stop giving away really bad goals."

Turning point

Keane admitted Robert Green's second half save from Grant Leadbitter was a turning point in the game.

"We had to change it at half-time, we were not in control of the game," continued Keane.

"We got the goal back and the next goal was always going to win it and unfortunately it fell to West Ham.

"Credit to their goalkeeper, it was a fantastic save and helped them win the game."

Praise

Keane also had words of praise for Jones after he was named man of the match.

"That's nice for Kenwyne, I thought he was outstanding," noted Keane.

"He has been a great plus for us since he has come to the club and hopefully he will continue to cause problems and score plenty of goals for us."
