Primus: Knee operation

Linvoy Primus is to undergo career-threatening knee surgery.

The 34-year-old defender went under the knife in the summer but that operation failed to clear up his initial problem.

Now after travelling to America to visit world renowned knee surgeon Richard Steadman - Primus is to have further surgery.

His agent John Mac confirmed that they were now awaiting news.

Wait

"I've spoken to Linvoy's wife Trish and we're awaiting updates. We don't know for sure what is going to happen until they go into his knee," Mac told The News.

"That is the way someone like Richard Steadman works. It could be three or four different things. I guess we won't know for sure until he does it.

"It could just be an exploratory thing and he will soon be back in rehab and we are keeping our fingers crossed."

Steadman has operated on a host of sporting stars and helped save many careers and now the hope is that Primus will be able to continue playing.
