Anichebe: Left out
Everton's Victor Anichebe has been left out of Nigeria's squad for next month's African Cup of Nations.
Anichebe has yet to be capped by his country of birth despite been called up several times by manager Berti Vogts.
Vogts has decided against calling on the 19-year-old for the tournament, which begins on 20th January.
Anichebe's exclusion comes as good news for Everton boss David Moyes, who would have been without his striker for up to a month.
Meanwhile, Vogts has stated his intent by declaring that he aims to lead his team to glory.
"My target is to win the cup and we can do that with a bit of luck," said the German coach.
