Bosingwa: Staying put

Porto defender Jose Bosingwa has rejected speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League.

The highly-rated right-back has reportedly attracted the interest of a number of English clubs including Aston Villa.

There has been talk of Bosingwa moving on in the January transfer window but he insists he remains fully committed to Porto.

He told skysports.com: "Nothing has changed. My head is in Porto and I don't know anything about these stories apart from the rumours in the papers.

"My objective is to help the club win the Liga, to do well in the UEFA Champions League and to earn a place in the Portugal squad for Euro 2008."

It has been suggested that Porto would be willing to part with Bosingwa for a fee in the region of 10million euros (£7.1million).

However, the Portuguese club have insisted they will demand more for Bosingwa, stating: "It is an inferior value for our player."
