Lupoli: Wants Italian exit
Derby are on the verge of offering fans' favourite Arturo Lupoli a return to Pride Park, according to the player's agent.
Lupoli, 20, became a hit with the Derby faithful as the Rams secured promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs last season.
The striker was on loan with Derby from Arsenal, but the Rams failed to make the move permanent and Lupoli made a summer switch to Fiorentina.
Lupoli, though, has since fallen out with the Italian club and is looking for an escape route in the New Year.
Derby manager Paul Jewell is expected to venture into the January transfer window as he attempts to conjure an unlikely escape from top flight relegation this season.
The Rams, who play Blackburn at home on Sunday, are currently rooted to bottom of the table having won only one game this season and Lupoli could add a creative edge.
However, according to Lupoli's agent Claudio Pasqualin, Derby will face competition for the forward's signature.
"We are in discussions with the club," Pasqualin told The Sun. "Arturo is a wanted man and we are not short on offers."
