Fabregas: Not perfect

Cesc Fabregas insists that he is not yet the finished article and has plenty of room for improvement.

The Arsenal midfielder's claims are bad news for the rest of Europe, as the Spaniard already has six goals in 17 Premier League games this season and a further four in five UEFA Champions League matches.

The form of Fabregas was one of the key factors behind The Gunners entering 2008 two points clear of Manchester United in the league and safely through to the last 16 in Europe.

Despite enjoying a magnificent 2007 Fabregas believes that there are still elements to his game which he can improve over the coming months, and is also hopeful that 2008 will allow him the opportunity to get his hands on some silverware.

Not perfect

"Well I'm only 20," he told the Daily Express.

"I want to think I can improve, I want to think I can be better, of course, because I don't think there is such a thing as the perfect player.

"Not even Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry or Samuel Eto'o are perfect, they can always improve.

Trophies

"That's the good thing about football, you can always get better. And hopefully, I will work hard to be a great player for Arsenal football club.

"But for me, the most important thing is to win trophies as a team. And let's see if at the end of the year we can get as many trophies as a team as we can.

"If we keep winning games, that means we will win a trophy.

"And I hope that I don't get injuries so that I can keep playing for the team and help the team. If I can play every, well nearly every single game like last year, it will be good."
