Tevez: Praise for Rooney
Carlos Tevez has revealed he plans to play at Manchester United for another four or five years before ending his career at Boca Juniors.
Tevez has been in superb form for United following his protracted move from West Ham in the summer.
The Argentine international says he has always wanted to end his career in his homeland with Boca and he plans to do that when he leaves Old Trafford.
He told Radio Del Plata: "I would like to play four or five more years in Europe. I would love this to happen at Manchester United and then go back to Argentina.
"I know I will finish my career at Boca. No doubt about it. I do not imagine myself retiring without winning one more title there."
The skilful forward feels he has struggled for fitness and he is looking forward to a rest in the summer.
"I am playing at a 70 or 80 per cent of what I can really do," added Tevez. "I'm finding it quite difficult to get over each match. In the last 25 minutes, the level drops.
"I always do my best but it's difficult for me to keep this level.
"My body needs a rest. I have had no holidays for two years. I want to be calm, with my family, thinking about nothing for 20 days.
"Since the Copa America (last summer), I've had no rest. I will see how I am in May, when the season finishes."
"(Wayne) Rooney is a a phenomenon and a great man," noted Tevez. (Paul) Scholes is unbelievable. I see him every day. His quality and personality are tremendous. He is the engine of this team."
