Skysports.com understands Fulham are closing in on the signing of Neil Clement from West Brom.

Fulham have lined up a loan deal until the end of the season with the view of a permanent move for Clement.

Craven Cottage boss Roy Hodgson is keen to strengthen his squad and sees Clement's experience and versatility as a key addition to his squad.

Clement can play at left-back or centre-back and he will provide cover at the back for Hodgson.

The former Chelsea youngster has made only two appearances for West Brom this season because of a knee injury and Clement is keen to regain his fitness by going out on loan.
