West Ham boss Alan Curbishley has rejected reports that Scott Parker could miss the rest of the season through injury.

Parker is currently on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury in the win over Manchester United in December.

Reports over the weekend suggested Parker could be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with the latest injury, but Curbishley insists the former Newcastle and Charlton man will be back in action in six weeks.

"Contrary to stories this week, Scotty Parker is about a month or six weeks away," Curbishley told the club's official website.

Meanwhile, Bobby Zamora and Craig Bellamy both scored for The Hammers in a specially-arranged practice match on Monday.

Zamora has been out of action sice August with a knee injury, while Bellamy is building his fitness after an abdominal problem.

Both forwards scored in the 2-1 win over Queens Park Rangers as they work on regaining full fitness.
