Quagliarella: United target

Udinese striker Fabio Quagliarella has admitted he is flattered to be linked with a move to Manchester United.

United are believed to be tracking the Italian international and have sent scouts to watch him on numerous occasions this term.

The 25-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising strikers in Europe after impressing for club and country over the last 12 months.

Quagliarella says a move to a big Italian or Spanish club would be an attractive proposition, but it is the interest from United that grabs him.

Flattered

"I like the Italian giants and Spain is attractive, but when I heard that Manchester United were in the frame, I was very flattered," Quagliarella told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Nonetheless, I want to reiterate that Udinese is a great place and I am happy here. I am in no hurry to leave. I have five years on my contract and I won't be talking about anything until the summer."
