Spurs full-back Alan Hutton is hoping to complete a dream double this season by securing an SPL winner's medal.

The former Rangers ace already has one medal in his pocket following Spurs' 2-1 extra-time victory over Chelsea in the Carling Cup on Sunday.

However, the Scotland international could be in line for more silverware should Rangers claim the SPL title as he has made enough appearances to qualify for a winner's medal.

"I knew when I left I'd played in enough games to earn a league medal if Rangers win it so hopefully they can go and do that," he told the Daily Record.

"That would be a good way to end the season. It has been great so far. I'm a Spurs player but everyone knows I'm 100 per cent behind Rangers and I want to see them doing well."

Justified

Hutton's move to White Hart Lane was one of the most on-off transfers during the January transfer window and the 23-year-old believes claiming early silverware in England justifies his move from his beloved Ibrox.

"Hopefully this medal proves I made the right decision. Hopefully it will be the first of many for me as a Spurs player," he continued.

"One of the reasons I came here was to improve as a player. You are playing against a top quality standard week-in, week-out, no matter what team you are playing against.

"I just want this type of success to go on and on and I think it could just be the start for this team.

"You look through the squad and there is so much talent around and I can only see good things ahead."
