Roberts: Future still up in the air
Blackburn striker Jason Roberts admits he is still unsure of his long-term future at Ewood Park.
Roberts looked to be on his way out of Rovers after handing in a transfer demand earlier this season only for the club to reject his request.
The 30-year-old was frustarted by his lack of first-team opportunities earlier in the season, but he has won his place in the starting XI in the last few weeks.
Roberts, who scored against his old club Wigan at the weekend, is determined to keep his place in Mark Hughes's plans, but concedes his future at the club remains far from certain
"I think everyone is happier when they are playing. I'm sure if you spoke to anyone here they would all say the same," Roberts told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"As long as I'm playing, I'm on top of the world.
"As for where my future lies, I don't know. To a certain extent that situation is out of my hands.
"All I can do is try to show people what I can do, and hopefully I showed them a bit more (at the weekend).
"It's just nice for me that I'm getting an opportunity now and whatever has happened in the past, is in the past for me.
"If the manager continues to give me an opportunity, then I will always try my best for the team, like I've always done."
