Taylor: Wishing Eduardo well
Birmingham City defender Martin Taylor has insisted that he visited Arsenal's Eduardo in hospital on two separate occasions.
Taylor was dismissed in the opening minutes of February's clash against The Gunners after he caught the Croatia international with a high challenge.
Eduardo sustained a broken leg, but has since undergone a successful operation and begun his rehabilitation.
There had been claims that Taylor did not visit Eduardo at Selly Oak Hospital, however The Blues centre-back has quashed the suggestions and revealed that he hopes to meet with the Arsenal man again.
"I went to see him on the Saturday but he was still recovering from an operation so first thing on Sunday morning I went to the hospital again and it was really good of him to see me. He didn't have to do that," he told the Daily Mirror.
"I heard Tony McCoy (the jockey) talking on the radio about injuries in horse racing and he said the worst moment is waking up after the operation because that is when the drugs are wearing off and reality hits.
"I was mindful of this. I thought maybe he (Eduardo) wouldn't want to see me, which would have been fair enough.
"But he saw me, which was really kind. Although there was a language barrier I just said I had not meant him any harm and that I hoped he made a quick recovery.
"He took it on board and nodded. He is obviously a really strong man. Since then I have read that he would be happy for me to visit him again. It's something I'd like to do."
