Little: Planning large upset

Glen Little believes Reading are capable of becoming the first Premier League team to defeat Arsenal at Emirates Stadium as the Royals battle for survival.

Reading became the first top-flight side to suffer a home defeat to Fulham since September 2006 as they slumped 2-0 at the Madejski Stadium at the weekend.

The humbling at the hands of the Cottagers has plunged Reading back into the relegation mire and Little insists at least another four points are required from their final four games to ensure Premier League football next season.

And Little feels Reading could upset the odds at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, but the midfielder accepts that recording three points in North London appears a tough task.

Unfortunate

"Unfortunately for us they (Arsenal) seem to give us a good going over every time we play them," Little told Get Reading.

"We have to make sure we're up for it, give as good as we get and try to do the best we can even though we know it's going to be very difficult going there.

"We have some tough games to come, but we still need four or five points to be safe.

"I've been around a long time and you always know you are going to be up against it at Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Arsenal.

Rare

"It's very rare you are going to get a result, but it can be done.

"We seem to do well against Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea - usually running them close - but unfortunately for us we haven't done that against Arsenal.

"If there is ever a time to do that it's now because we badly need to."
