Teale: Open to Plymouth switch

Derby County winger Gary Teale has stated he would be interested in sealing a permanent move to Plymouth.

The 29-year-old has just returned to Pride Park after making 12 appearances on loan for the Championship outfit.

Teale, who is seeking talks with manager Paul Jewell, is out of the first team picture at Derby and would be interested in returning to Home Park.

"I would be interested but I don't know my circumstances at Derby and what they are thinking," said Teale, who has two years left on his Derby contract.

"I haven't spoken to Paul Jewell yet but I'm going back there today and I will know more from then on."

Pilgrims boss Paul Sturrock, who has also lost Russell Anderson to Sunderland, is keeping his cards close to his chest until the pair speak to their parent clubs.

"Gary had to go back, Derby have another week to go and the same with the boy Anderson at Sunderland," said the Plymouth boss.

Conversations

"They will have conversations with their managers while they are up there. I have had conversations with their management teams and with the players.

"Until they have talks with their management teams and their agents there really is nothing more to be said."

Sturrock is hoping four of his players, Mat Doumbe, Nadjim "Jimmy" Abdou, Dan Smith and Luke Summerfield will sign new deals at the club.

"We have made offers to them. I am very hopeful the four of them fit into our budget," he confirmed.

"I will allow them another week. A week should be long enough to make a decision.

"That will allow me to know how many players I need."
