Diouf determined to leave

Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson believes there is a chance El- Hadji Diouf could be at the club next season.

The former Liverpool forward has already stated he is seeking a new challenge this summer after four years at The Reebok.

Megson, knowing Diouf, thinks the Senegalese forward may have a rethink following the club's successful battle against the drop.

However, should Diouf press ahead with his desire to leave despite having 12 months left on his contract, Megson has warned he will not be sold on the cheap.

"He has made this statement about this being his last season," said Megson.

Great character

"But he's a great character and I know him well enough to know he will say one thing one minute and another thing the next.

"He's a temperamental person and I don't want him to go anywhere.

"Having said that, if somebody does come in for him they are going to have to pay a lot of money to get him.

"Then they're going to have pay Dioufy what we pay him in wages - which is a lot of money as well."
