Harry Redknapp has dismissed claims he will step down as Portsmouth manager after this weekend's FA Cup final.

Reports in Thursday's press suggested Redknapp may part company with the Fratton Park club after Saturday's Wembley showdown with Cardiff City, live on Sky Sports 1.

However, Redknapp, 61, is adamant that he has no plans to leave the club and has instead directed focus towards his side's forthcoming clash with The Bluebirds.

"You're as old as you feel and Alex Ferguson (66-years-old) must be feeling bloody brilliant. He's a lesson to us all," he said in The Sun.

"I want to go on as long as him and I don't see why I can't. I still love the game as much as ever. I've got a good team, good players and thoroughly enjoy working at this club.

"I can't see myself ever leaving Portsmouth, not now. It would be nice to put on a performance in the final but it's more important to win.

"In 10 years' time they'll only remember who won it, not how they played."
