Stelios: Wants stay

Former Bolton midfielder Stelios Giannakopoulos has spoken of his desire to remain in the Premier League next season.

The 33-year-old, who is currently on international duty with Greece in the Euro finals, is looking for pastures new after being handed a free transfer by Bolton.

He has been linked with a move to Olympiakos in Greece but would prefer to stay in the Premier League, saying it is the best in the world.

But he will not do anything until Greece's tournament finishes with their last Group D game against Spain on Wednesday.

Stay

He told The Independent: "I'd like to stay in the Premier League.

"I've been there for the last five years and enjoyed it very much. I will try to stay in this League because it is the best in the world, simple as that. I will try to sort it out when the tournament finishes."
