John Arne Riise has indicated that he may seek a move away from Liverpool in a bid to take up a new challenge.

Riise's future at Anfield is in doubt after he endured an indifferent 2007/08 campaign with Rafa Benitez's side.

Furthermore, the expected capture of Udinese left-back Andrea Dossena could spell the end for Norway international Riise.

And the 27-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Roma, has conceded that a switch could reignite his career.

"I need to be in a team where I can improve, as I know I can," Riise said in The Sun.

"When you change club you get a kick-start and a new set of challenges."
