Beckham: Relishing West Ham meeting
David Beckham is relishing the prospect of tackling West Ham in Friday's MLS All-Star clash.
The Leytonstone-born midfielder is a member of the All-Star side facing West Ham in Toronto after impressing for LA Galaxy this season.
Beckham enjoyed some success against West Ham with Manchester United, scoring five goals in 16 appearances against the Hammers, and he is looking forward to locking horns against the East London club again.
"It is great, being an East End boy playing against West Ham so many times for Manchester United and also scoring against West Ham which didn't go down well with a few friends, but it is always nice to play against a quality team," Beckham told Sky Sports News.
"They are a team that has got some good players and they are working towards the start of the Premiership, so of course it is great to play against good opposition.
"It will be a tough game and we are looking forward to that. You always want to play against good players and good teams and we are against that.
"Any player involved in All-Star games wants to play well and you are always going to come up against a good team, so West Ham are a good team and I am sure they will be running around a lot working on their fitness for the start of Premiership.
"All the players that are here are experienced enough, they are good enough players to realise it will not be a walk in the park.
"It is going to be a tough game and one as an East End boy I am looking forward to."
