Bentley: On the move
Tottenham have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Blackburn for England winger David Bentley.
The North London club have been in discussions with their Lancashire counterparts over a deal for the talented 23-year-old.
Bentley spoke at the close of last season of a desire to ply his trade elsewhere and he is now heading for the capital.
The two clubs engaged in talks on Wednesday and an agreement has now been thrashed out, with a press conference called for Thursday morning.
Early indications are that Bentley has agreed a six-year contract at White Hart Lane, with the deal worth in the region of £15million for Rovers.
Rivals Arsenal, Bentley's former club, stand to receive a percentage of the deal as part of the terms of his transfer to Ewood Park in 2006.
The winger made just nine appearances under Arsene Wenger but will join Sol Campbell as the only high-profile players to feature for Arsenal and Spurs in the modern era.
