Simpson: Delighted
Danny Simpson says he is 'over the moon' at securing his season-long loan to Blackburn Rovers.
The highly-rated right-back completed his transfer from Manchester United last week, becoming manager Paul Ince's third signing of the summer.
Simpson is now eagerly anticipating the 2008/09 term at Ewood Park, and is keen to succeed during his time at his new club.
"I spoke to [United boss] Sir Alex Ferguson and he said I want you to go to Blackburn it will be a good opportunity for you, so I'm just over the moon," he told the club's official website.
"It is a big club, it has got a big history, they've won the Premier League in the past, and with Paul Ince as a manager as a boy I used to watch him playing for Manchester United.
"It is Premier League football, at a good level, they are a good footballing club so it is a good move for me."
