Al-Habsi: No Rovers move

Blackburn have failed with their bid to land Bolton goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi.

Skysports.com broke the news on Tuesday that Rovers had made a move for the Oman international.

But Bolton have rejected the bid from the Lancashire rivals.

Al-Habsi has less than a year left on his current contract and his agent Peter Harrison has confirmed no talks are planned over a new deal.

Blackburn had hoped to prise the highly-rated Al-Habsi away, but they are now looking at other targets.

A club statement said: "Rovers will not be pursuing an interest in Bolton goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi.

"Rovers officials, who confirm approaching Wanderers about the Omani international, were told that he was not available and have now moved on."
