Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has told skysports.com that Eduardo's return from injury will hand the side a major boost in their search for silverware this season.

Eduardo suffered a horrific broken leg at Birmingham City back in February following a challenge by Martin Taylor.

The visual extent of the injury led to fears that the 25-year-old Croatia international could be forced to call a premature end to his career.

However, the forward's rehabilitation has been progressing well and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger last week announced he is set to return to first-team training in mid-November.

The former Dynamo Zagreb player netted 12 goals in 31 appearances before the blow, and Adebayor feels his comeback will provide the Gunners with a fillip in their hunt for a first trophy since 2005.

"Of course, everyone loves Eduardo. He has shown how important he can be to the team. I think he will be hungry for football and to score goals for this team again," the Togolese told skysports.com at the Launch of FIFA 09 from EA SPORTS.

"With him back we know we will have someone else who can score goals. We can be looking sharper and that can help us achieve."
