Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is confident Matthew Taylor did not pick up a serious injury against Sunderland.

Taylor, who drew the Trotters level in the 4-1 win at the Stadium of Light, was forced off at half-time due to a thigh problem.

He was replaced by Ricardo Gardner, but Taylor's injury is not likely to a lead to a long-term absence.

Megson said: "It's not a huge problem, but he had a bit of a thigh complaint.

"I'd love to have Bibi (Gardner) in the team, but I can only play 11 players. We've got a great choice down the left and Ricardo came on and did excellently.

"We are hoping that Matty will be okay because that is four goals in 10 games for him now."

Taylor has scored in his last three away appearances for the Trotters, who have made major progress up the table in recent weeks.
