Portsmouth midfielder Sean Davis has admitted he is disappointed to have lost his place in the side.

Davis, who came off the bench to score the winner against Blackburn on Sunday, has been dropped from the starting line-up for the last two games.

The former Fulham and Tottenham man is hoping his goalscoring heroics will improve his chances of playing more regularly.

"It was nice to score but I've been very disappointed not to be playing regularly lately," said Davis.

"I thought I had been playing well for most of the season but I've been put on the bench the last two games and that is disappointing for me.

"Hopefully the goal will put me back in the public eye a bit more because people always take a bit more notice of you when you score."
