Middlesbrough have confirmed that they are taking two more players from Slovak side MFK Kosice on trial.

It was revealed over the weekend that the club's star midfielder Nemanja Matic would be training with Boro, and now Kosice and Boro have confirmed that he will be joined at Rockcliffe Park by Juraj Hovancik.

Serbian Under-21 international midfielder Matic, 20, will be accompanied on his trip to Teesside by 18-year-old Hovancik - also a midfield player.

Boro, who have close ties with Kosice, have already agreed a loan deal for the 17-year-old youth midfielder Peter Gal-Andrezly - who trained with the club earlier this year.

Now Boro could be in line to take all three players when the transfer window opens in January.

Double deal

"Earlier this year we agreed between clubs to exchange young talented players for one or two weeks, within our winter break or at Middlesbrough's end of season," explained Kosice head of football development Allen Bula.

"This would benefit players as they would train in different countries, and we believe it would make young players become even stronger in all aspects."

Bula also confirmed that a host of clubs, like with Matic, have been tracking youth international Hovancik.

"We know there has been interest from some top European clubs for this player," he said.

"But MFK have not held any talks as we feel this is a very potential player for the future of MFK Kosice."
