Mowbray: Not selling
Tony Mowbray has stressed that none of his major players will leave West Brom during the transfer window.
Mowbray has already had to reject a £3million bid from Bolton for midfielder James Morrison and he has no plans to let anybody go.
The Baggies are currently bottom of the Premier League table and Mowbray realises the importance of keeping his squad together.
He explained: "Will any of my better players be leaving in January? I don't think so. I don't think we are in a position to sell anyone at the moment.
"It is always a positive when other teams want your players. It shows they are doing something well.
"I can't see any reasons why we would want to sell any of our players. We are in a situation where we have got to stick together, work extremely hard and try and get enough points to stay up.
"We need to make sure we can build next season on the squad we have to try and improve this club, not sell its best players off."
Mowbray is unhappy that Bolton's interest in Morison became public knowledge, but he does not expect the 22-year-old to be affected.
He added: "I was disappointed that any conversations regarding James between the clubs came out. It is not, in my mind, the way business should be done.
"It can disrupt footballers, not that it will with James because he is a diamond of a lad and knows he is the right place for his career to develop.
"If his career is to move on from West Brom at any time, it will be at the right time - and that moment isn't now.
"I am trying to be respectful to the club that made contact, but it is not something that would appeal to him."
