Sunderland forward El-Hadji Diouf has revealed that Blackburn and Wigan are chasing his signature.

The Senegal international has struggled to establish himself at the Stadium of Light following a summer switch from Bolton.

He has failed to find the target in his last 13 outings and does not appear to feature in the long-term plans of Black Cats boss Ricky Sbragia.

Diouf beleieves he may be forced to leave Wearside during the January transfer window, and admits there would be no shortage of takers for his services.

Blackburn have already shown an interest, with Rovers boss Sam Allardyce having worked with Diouf during their days with the Trotters, while ambitious Wigan are also keeping tabs on his availability.

"Sam Allardyce wants me to join him and Wigan's manager (Steve Bruce) has called me as well," said the 27-year-old playmaker.

"I am not allowed to make two transfers during the same season but can leave if the clubs agree.

"I signed a four-year contract with Sunderland and don't want to leave on bad terms. I hope they will find a solution."
