Bendtner: Party like it's 09
Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is hopeful 2009 will prove to be a successful year for the North London club.
The Gunners endured a hugely mixed 2008, and the side have come in for criticism this season following inconsistent form.
Of late, however, Arsene Wenger's men have demonstrated signs that they are back on track after making it seven Premier League games unbeaten with a win over Bolton Wanderers at the weekend.
And Danish forward Bendtner, who netted the winner versus the Trotters, is focused on ensuring the club end a four-year wait for silverware.
"We have talked among ourselves that 2008 was not the strongest, so we want to come out in 2009 and show what we are really about," he said.
"We have won both of our games in the new year and have shown that we are strong."
Bendtner added on Arsenal's official website: "I have got a few late goals now, but as long as I can help the team win, I am happy.
"We know the game is for 90 minutes, and if you are focused most of the time you get what you deserve."
