Kranjcar: Wants new challenge
Niko Kranjcar has admitted that he hopes to quit Portsmouth for a 'bigger club' over the summer.
The Croatia international has endured a frustrating 2008/09 campaign, with injuries ruling him out for long periods.
As a result he has been unable to play a leading role in the club's battle to maintain their top-flight status, while he has also seen a number of the club's top talents offloaded in an effort to balance the books.
Kranjcar has now revealed that he also intends to head for the Fratton Park exit in the near future, with Arsenal and Monaco having expressed an interest in his services in recent times.
"It was always my intention to move to a bigger club, it is always like that in your career," the talented playmaker said in the Daily Mirror.
"If an offer came from a larger club, of course I would want to go."
While Kranjcar has made it clear that Premier League survival will not alter his decision, he does believe that Pompey are capable of beating the drop.
"There are lots of teams in a similar situation," he said.
"We know we must fight to stay up and we are ready."
