Former Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini admits he is targeting a return to management and has set his heart on a move to the Premier League.

Mancini was sacked by Inter at the beginning of last summer despite guiding the club to three successive Scudetto titles before being replaced by Jose Mourinho.

The 44-year-old Italian had a short stint at Leicester towards the back end of his playing days and is eager to once again experience English football.

In the past year he has been linked with positions at Sunderland, Chelsea, West Ham and Manchester City, while Portsmouth have most recently been mooted as suitors.

"I think I have always worked very well, not only at Inter but also at Lazio, at Fiorentina... I believe I am one of the best, that's for sure," he told Sky Italia.

"My aim is to go and have an experience abroad, in what league I don't know, maybe the English one, mainly because I think the English league is very nice, it's a league where everyone enjoys themselves."

Mancini also insists that it would not matter to him how much money a prospective team had for transfers.

"That is not important, because someone who does my work enjoys doing it, so it's not said that they have to definitely be fighting for the title," he said.
