Tomas Rosicky has vowed to do all he can this season to help Arsenal end their recent trophy drought.

The Gunners have gone four years since they last lifted some silverware, with an FA Cup final success in 2005 now a distant memory.

Arsene Wenger's men know they can ill-afford for that barren run to be extended any longer, with the club's supporters having grown accustomed to toasting success.

The outlook for the 2009/10 campaign appears bright, with a steady start made to the new season and key men still waiting in the wings ready to return to the fold.

One of those to have recently bounced back from a lengthy spell on the sidelines is Czech playmaker Rosicky.

He has been hindered by frustrating knee and hamstring troubles over the past two seasons, but made his first start in 20 months in the Gunners' 3-2 UEFA Champions League success over Standard Liege on Wednesday.

Fired up

The 28-year-old admits he is still some way short of reproducing his best form, but insists he is desperate to play an integral role in helping Arsenal to glory over the coming months.

"I t was a great feeling when I came back and I got a great reception from the fans," Rosicky said in the Evening Standard.

"I am fired up to win a trophy and enjoying being back. It's good that I can be part of this team again.

"If you are out for so long, like I was, it is very frustrating. But that is behind me already and I am just enjoying the time I am fit.

"The boss has another option with me in the creative part of the game and he still has (Samir) Nasri to come back. Offensively we are very strong and I can help with that.

"I have to take things step by step. I played an hour for the national team, then 30 minutes at Manchester City and now 70 minutes here. I have to improve in fitness to be back where I was before and I still have work to do."
