Under-fire Hull City boss Phil Brown is planning for the long-term with the Tigers.

Brown is under intense pressure as the Tigers sit second from bottom of the Premier League going into the home tie against Stoke on Sunday.

While some have speculated he could be sacked if the Tigers fail to beat the Potters, Brown says he is planning for the long-term with new Hull chairman Adam Pearson.

Quite simple

He told Sky Sports: "It's quite simple - the chairman came to join us last night in the hotel and we sat down again, chewed the fat about the future.

"We are talking long-term, we're not talking about one game, we're not talking about two games.

"We're talking about the long-term survival campaign obviously and the long-term future of this football club."

Absolutely

Asked if he was pleased about what he heard from the chairman, he repiled: "Absolutely.

"I have heard nothing but positives from Adam Pearson.

"We've worked with each other before - hopefully it will be a long and fruitful relationship."
