Jody Craddock believes Wolves have got what it takes to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Promoted teams traditionally struggle to beat the drop the following season and Wolves have endured a difficult start to the campaign.

They are currently second bottom in the table but defender Craddock has seen enough to predict a bright future for the club.

"We just need to keep playing our football," said the 34-year-old.

"We've definitely got enough here, we've got a good bunch of lads, and a young, hard-working team.

"We know it's not going to be easy - it's going to be tough, but we've got enough here to see us through."

McCarthy

Wolves face a daunting trip to Stamford Bridge this weekend to take on league leaders Chelsea, having been thumped 4-1 by Arsenal prior to the international break.

They travel to London as massive underdogs and manager Mick McCarthy admits the upcoming home games are much more important.

"If we go to Chelsea and get something that would be brilliant," said McCarthy.

"But it would be a real bonus because no-one thinks we'll get anything there.

"Our next two home games, Birmingham and Bolton, are the ones we have to win. They will be vital for us.

"It's alright saying we need to get our teeth into them, but there will be huge expectation and pressure on those games."
