Bacary Sagna admits Arsenal were outplayed by Chelsea on Sunday, but insists the Gunners are not out of the title race yet.

The Blues won 3-0 at the Emirates courtesy of Didier Drogba's brace and Thomas Vermaelen's own goal.

The defeat inflicted a first loss on Arsenal at home in the league and left Arsene Wenger's side a massive 11 points off their rivals.

But the Gunners still have a game in hand on the Blues and Sagna, while disappointed by the nature of the loss, is not giving up on the title yet.

Not create

He told L'Equipe: "It was like our match against Sunderland, we could not really create any opportunities.

"The absence of Van Persie has weighed a lot, we have to find a solution.

"Now we can't fool ourselves, the gap was too large between the two sides. Chelsea were stronger. They were better in the challenges, possession of the ball, passes.

"Last season we got a lot of points against Big Four teams but we failed against some 'minnows'.

Disappointment

"But we missed our match. There is a lot of disappointment.

"Anyway, we can't remain focused on that, otherwise we could sink lower.

"We have a postponed match that we must win. Then, the situation could quickly change."
