David Moyes has reiterated his commitment to remaining manager of Everton.

The club's latest financial results show that turnover for the year ending May 31, 2009 rose by £4m to a record £79.7m.

Yet even with an FA Cup final appearance, a Wembley semi-final and a fifth-placed Premier League finish, an increase in player wages means the club had an overall operating loss of £6.7m.

Everton's lack of financial clout means Moyes must wheel and deal if the team is to challenge the big four on the field.

A new stadium at Kirkby was mooted as one way of boosting revenue but the Toffees suffered another off-field blow by failing to gain permission for the building plans.

Matters have been little better on the field, with Sunday's 2-0 derby defeat by Liverpool meaning the Toffees have claimed just one win in 11.

Club owner Bill Kenwright has re-affirmed his support of Moyes, though, and the manager has made it clear he has no plans to quit.

Great job

"I've said all along that this is a great job, I really enjoy it and I intend to see it through until the very end," he said.

"The Chairman has his role at the club and he is entitled to come out and say anything whenever he wants."

Everton hope to enjoy a welcome boost by booking their place in the last 32 of the Europa League on Wednesday.

Moyes' men visit AEK Athens for their penultimate Group I game knowing victory would see them qualify if BATE Borisov fail to beat group leaders Benfica.

The Toffees won their opening two group games, including a 4-0 home win against AEK, but have lost their last two - home and away against Benfica.

Tough test

"I never think any win is easy; I think you always have to work hard for it," said Moyes. "I think this will be a much more difficult game (than the first against AEK).

"AEK have showed good home form in Europe, particularly against Benfica when they won 1-0, so that shows that it will be a different game."

Defender Joseph Yobo has not travelled to Greece due to a hamstring injury from Sunday's derby and Leon Osman (foot) also misses out.

Midfielder Jack Rodwell (groin) is doubtful while Lucas Neill and John Heitinga are both ineligible.

Right-back Tony Hibbert is set to equal Everton's European appearance record of 18, which is jointly held by Colin Harvey and Brian Labone.
