Arsene Wenger admits Arsenal's injury problems this season have presented him with an unwelcome headache.

Fortune has not favoured the Gunners this term, with the majority of their key men having spent a spell on the sidelines at some stage.

Strike ace Robin van Persie has been the biggest loss, with the Dutchman suffering a long-term ankle injury while away on international duty in November which scuppered his flying start to the campaign.

Talismanic skipper Cesc Fabregas has also been in and out of the treatment room, but is now back in action following a three-week lay-off.

Theo Walcott and Denilson are both expected to come back into the fold against Bolton on Wednesday, but Aaron Ramsey and Samir Nasri are still the best part of a month away from a first-team recall.

Rushed

Wenger is hoping that Tomas Rosicky has finally left his injury nightmares in the past, while niggling knocks to Nicklas Bendtner continue to give cause for concern.

The Gunners chief is desperate to bring about an end to these ongoing issues, but admits there is little he can do to protect his players when his options are stretched to breaking point.

"We have analysed absolutely everything," said the Frenchman.

"It is strange because the more injuries you get, you then seem to get even more because you always play the same players.

"Also, you rush some players back and then you have more chance to get them injured again."
