Bendtner: Believes in himself
Nicklas Bendtner is hoping to help Arsenal to the Premier League title and become a first-team regular in the process.
The Danish striker recently made his return to action following a three-month lay-off with a groin injury.
A substitute run-out during Wednesday's goalless draw with Aston Villa was his first outing since undergoing surgery.
His return has come as a timely boost to Arsene Wenger, who saw his attacking options depleted once again at Villa Park with a knock to Eduardo.
With Robin van Persie still nursing a long-term ankle problem, the Gunners need all the firepower they can muster at present.
Bendtner is determined to provide that cutting edge and is adamant that Wenger's men can overcome a tricky run of fixtures - which sees them face Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool in their next three games - en route to claiming the top flight crown.
"We have a lot of big games coming up. I've only trained one time with the team and played half an hour at Villa and everything feels okay," he said.
"We will see how I am during the week and hopefully things will keep progressing so I will be 100 per cent when the weekend comes.
"If Eduardo is out, am I ready to come in? I wouldn't be here if I was wasn't ready. If I play Sunday, I will be ready as well and Manchester United is the sort of big game you'd love to come back into.
"Is this a chance to become the number one striker? That is my plan. Is it achievable? Of course.
"Why am I so confident? It is simple. I am a good player. I've always had that belief. People ask me every time we speak 'why are you like that?' and that's just the way it is.
"If I didn't think I could do it, I wouldn't be standing here telling you I could!"
Bendtner admitted: "These games coming up will have a big bearing on the title. We have fought to get ourselves into a good position.
"We have three big matches, and a few more which are quite important, and we need to get as many points as we can from those.
"We have done really well. We have got ourselves into a great position now where we are fighting at the top of the league.
"We know why we have got here and we are capable of winning every game and winning the championship and that is why we are focused."

Bendtner is a fantastic player but always loses the ball so easily,he must improve on that.He must mostly practice on his first touches, how to keep possession and looking for space.

Nicklas Bendtner is an immense talent, I dont think the Premier League has yet seen the best yet of Nicklas Bendtner hes is a very talented striker and his technicall qualities for a tall man are amazing, he was Denmark's main player in the run to the qualification for the World Cup 2010 and scored a fantastic goal Vs Portugal. watch this space theres alot to come from him.

That why Bendtner catches my eye. That attitude of his is very good and is a good thing for a player like him to have. Ambition is very important for a growing player and thats why I believe Denmark cannot be underestimated at the world cup. Most to all their players believe in themselves and play wonderfully. And believe me, I am not saying this because I am Danish...
