Gallas: Has a fan in Wenger
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stated his intent to keep William Gallas in North London amid reported interest from Italy.
The Frenchman's existing contract expires at the end of the season and as such he is free to talk with other interested parties.
Reports emanating from Serie A have suggested Roma are readying an offer to lure Gallas, 32, to the Italian capital.
Wenger, though, is confident Gallas will extend his stay at Emirates Stadium.
"I am not concerned. He is under contract until the 30th of June. We have not found an agreement yet. I meet his agents again next Thursday and we will try to find a solution," said the Arsenal manager.
"I would like to keep all that secret. I feel I have to respect both parties and not to come out about the details of negotiations."
Wenger added on Roma's interest: "I do not know if he has spoken to Roma, but he is out of contract and can talk to whom he wants.
"William is speaking to us and our desire is to keep him here.
"I think he wants to stay here."

I think it's good to save him. In my opinion Senderos was better than him but we lost him...

Really hope Gallas Stays. Whilst Campbell is good cover, he isn't as athletic as Gallas. If Roma want, we've got 2 keepers they are very welcome to (Almunia and Fabianski), they'd be handy for groundsmen or water carriers, although they may let the bottles fall from time to time.

Gallas is a loyal and a good world class player. It is good for the English PL to keep players like him within as he is a reliable and hard worker for the back line of Arsenal. He seems to be happy at the centre back. He might be a bit bitter for losing his leadership in Arsenal. I personally think English PL suits him and will stay with Arsenal. It is his choice up to him, he can only look at the Italian or Spanish teams when they play against English PL teams. Any player who left English PL teams, they never seem to be happy and play a good football again.

I would love if he stays here but I am sure he will go for more money because thats what all footballers do. They need to think when no one was supporting them so the club gave them all their support. Why didnt Roma offer him last year because they want him free transfer this year so I hope Gallas consider that as well.
