Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2015.

The 23-year-old former Derby player has put pen-to-paper on a new deal at White Hart Lane, having moved to North London from the Rams for £2.5million in 2005.

Huddlestone has been in excellent form this season for Spurs, playing an integral part in the club's push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

He has started 26 games in the top-flight although was recently sidelined with an ankle injury.

England manager Fabio Capello has been impressed with his performances, and gave him his first cap against Brazil last November.

Huddlestone has made a total of 147 appearances for Spurs and will be keen to add to that tally once he recovers from his current injury.

He was already under contract until 2013 but has now committed himself to Tottenham for the next five years.
