Mame Biram Diouf has insisted he will not be thinking about Manchester United during his loan spell with Blackburn.

The Senegal forward moved to Ewood Park on a season-long deal last month and has already made an impact for his new club.

The 22-year-old hit a hat-trick in the Carling Cup victory over Norwich and also scored against Arsenal in the Premier League.

United will be keeping an eye on Diouf from afar and a series of good performances can only boost his chances of playing a more prominent role when he returns to Old Trafford.

However, Diouf maintains that he is putting all his energies into impressing Blackburn rather than his parent club.

"For me it's not about getting attention from United now. It's about working hard for the team I'm playing for," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"Now I'm playing for Blackburn so I have to give my best here.

"I will be focused on Blackburn now and we will see after."
