The USA international made a goalscoring debut for the Potters' reserves in midweek after jetting over from Kansas City Wizards.

However, the 20-year-old's chances of earning a long-term stay remain in the balance despite impressing in their 3-1 defeat by Wigan in a practice game.

"He's done smashing, mixed in well and got a goal the other day," Pulis told The Sentinel.

"Whether he's what we want for the next step, we'll have to see.

"But he's a nice kid and, like most American sports people, is very dedicated. His attitude during his time here has been first-class."

Meanwhile, teenage striker Ben Marshall has been earmarked for a contract extension at the club.

The 19-year-old is expected to remain on loan at League One outfit Carlisle until the end of the season.

"I've spoken to Carlisle and he will stay there," Pulis confirmed.

"He's getting good experience and that's what we want. It's the same with Matty Lund at Hereford.

"We want younger players to get out as early as they can to play against men.

"If they're good enough in the Academy, then we'll get them out playing men's football."
