Ba: West Ham target
Sky Sports News understands West Ham United have made an offer to sign Hoffenheim striker Demba Ba on loan.
Hammers boss Avram Grant is determined to improve his squad in the January transfer window and co-owner David Gold says the club have 15 targets.
Among the options for the Premier League's bottom club is Ba, who has scored six goals in 17 appearances for Hoffenheim this season.
It is understood that West Ham have submitted an official written offer to the German club to sign Ba on loan with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.
The Senegal international is also attracting interest from across Europe, but the 25-year-old is believed to prefer a move to England.
Ba joined Hoffenheim in 2007 and has played a key role in helping the club to become established in the Bundesliga.
