Van der Vaart: Ready for return
Tottenham's Dutch midfielder Rafael van der Vaart is winning his battle for fitness after a calf injury sustained in training.
Despite missing out against Blackpool on Tuesday night, Van der Vaart fully expects to be in contention for a starting sport at Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday 6th March, with the mouth-watering Champions League second-leg clash against AC Milan to follow at White Hart Lane three days later.
Van der Vaart is confident Spurs can continue their challenge for a top four spot in the Premier League by clinching victory against Ian Holloway's team.
"Got faith they (Spurs) will take the three points," he said on Twitter. "I will be back for Wolves and Milan for sure."
That will be welcome news for a Tottenham side looking to secure a quarter-final spot in the Champions League after their outstanding 1-0 win at the San Siro in the first leg of the last-16 clash, courtesy of Peter Crouch's goal 10 minutes from time.
With home advantage in the second leg and a likely capacity crowd to roar them on, hopes are high that Spurs can complete the job at White Hart Lane.
But league form is equally important and victories over struggling Blackpool and Wolves will give Spurs' hopes of securing a top four place in the Premier League a timely boost.
