Szczesny: Worried about injury
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is hoping his finger injury does not prove to be as serious as he fears.
Szczesny dislocated his finger during the first half of the Gunners' 3-1 defeat by Barcelona at Camp Nou on Tuesday and was replaced by Manuel Almunia.
The young Pole, who has established himself as Arsenal's No.1 in recent weeks, is concerned he has also damaged tendons which could rule him out for the rest of the season.
He is waiting to learn the full extent of the injury and Szczesny is anxious about the length of time he will be missing from Arsene Wenger's side.
"Let's hope it's not as bad as it could possibly be," said Szczesny. "Of course, I am worried I might be out for some time.
"It is part of the game and there is nothing I can do at the moment.
"I knew straight away I would have to come off and spent half-time with the doctor trying to find out what is wrong with my finger."
The injury has left Almunia as the only senior keeper available to Wenger as Lukasz Fabianski has been ruled out for the rest of the season following shoulder surgery.
Vito Mannone, meanwhile, has been troubled by a thigh injury while on loan at Hull and rookie shot-stopper James Shea is on loan at Southampton.

the ref really was a joke.if football is having such officiating at that highest level that means is not football again.no yellow card awarded to barca on that night and arsenal bagging 4 yellow and 1 red cards, that's to show the winner has been decided already by the ref.if messi cannot be given a yellow for ball handling, the game wasn't fair.there's no need of watching football again.bad officiating destroys entertainment of football.
