Tracey Curtis (Liverpool fan) says...

I still think Michael Owen should get a call up for England. He is still a good player. He will score many goals for Man U. Do not write him off. He is not finished yet.

Brian Craggs (Manchester City fan) says...

Is there any more City fans out there who are wondering seriously about the leakage in defence only since Dunne went and Lescott arrived......are those millions spent on him really worth it? What i've seen so far is utter cobblers.

Adam Balawajder (Middlesbrough fan) says...

Nigel Reo Coker is going to Middlesbrough on loan til January with a view to a perm move when the window opens. There has been as a lot of talk about this is the last 48 hours.

Rob Jones (Everton fan) says...

Sad to Lescott go... To replace him will be difficult, I dont think the likes of Huth etc fall into the bracket. We need a diverse defender who can play at left back or in central defense who will also chip in with a few goals..... So I would wait until we find that right man and not go round spending money on players who won't bring the same qualities.

Kenneth Crowley (Everton fan) says...

I sincerely hope that all the rumours in the papers that Moyes is looking to fill the void in central defence with Robert Huth are simply that - rumours? To sign Huth smacks of desperation! He'd be at the end of a very long list of players on my wish list.

John Gillinder (Liverpool fan) says...

I guess poor Rafa has his hands tied when it comes to spending money. There must be a list of players he would LIKE to sign but sadly our American owners are not keeping their word and backing him. A real concern however is another striker.I believe that is why we didn't win the title last season and it will be why we don't win it this.

Dave Porter (Aston Villa fan) says...

The question has been asked - Who should Villa buy Stephen warnock, Steven Taylor or James Collins - Easy all of them. We talk about being strong - talk is cheap ! Our defence continues to leak so lets bring in competition + a playmaker to break down opposing defences.

Matt Sharples (Bolton Wanderers fan) says...

Megson Megson Megson. Why is it that every single person on the planet recognises that Bolton cannot score goals.. Not with Elmander up front anyway. Kevin Davies is class and wins every single header he goes up for so surely if a pacey striker got on the end of it.. He would score goals? We are crying out for a striker with pace. Why not look at Beckford from Leeds who looks quality or Nugent from Pompey who can at least finish. Sort it out Gary or this season could be ugly!!

Barry Woolf (Arsenal fan) says...

I reckon Arsenal should keep the squad they have, but maybe sign a new, old Defensive-Midfielder to help out Cesc Fabregas, and to mentor Diaby, Denilson, and Song to greatness. I'd say Vieira would fit in perfectly, as would Gilberto, but they've both gone. Flamini would be a good long-term replacement, as would Miguel Veloso. Maybe also develop Theo Walcott into a Thierry Henry like forward, and re-sign Alex Hleb, who is struggling at Barca, and is currently on loan at VFB Stuttgart.

Joshua Adetona (Arsenal fan) says...

Wenger should buy Chamakh for the goals. Matuidi or Senna to help protect Fabregas, Veloso cause he's amazing. Mamahdou Sakho from PSG. Brede Hangeland from Fulham because he would be a great defender and would get us goals from set pieces.

Hassan Dimachk (Liverpool fan) says...

Cant Rafa just think a bit???he could have paid around 10m pounds for JO, who is always on loan.for me he is a world class striker, and get rid of voronin and lucas...Letting pennant go is a complete non sense..he is a good player and also ENGLISH.Babel should also be sold and be replaced by david silva..COME ON RAFA!!!liverpool need at least one world class player or else we wont even make it to 4th place!!!MARK MY WORDS!!!

Rob Waters (Aston Villa fan) says...

what on earth is going on at villa park, laursen retires, barry goes to man city the rumours about ashley young wont go away, and today luke young is wanted by hull for £4million,god sake are we a selling club or what, what is martin o`neil doing? and wheres " THE MILLIONS" mr lerner has promised o`neil to bring in more players to build up an already small squad.Stop spending money in the co operate side of the club and invest on the pitch, surley a succesful team on the pitch means more than looking after the "prawn sandwich crew"Im a realist and for a club like villa we should be finishing 6th at least in the prem and gettin regular europa cup spots, champions league you can forget about were nowhere near that stage yet ,lets get regular europa cup games first then build on that, but with the squad the size of ours i do fear we`ll only be a mid table side at best ,we need quality and we need it NOW!!!!

Luke Fagg (Arsenal fan) says...

I agree that Chamakh would be a great asset to the arsenal squad but is not a necessity, we have plenty of other forwards with potential, vela and bendtner are just 2 other possible options, i personally think last season bendtner was shocking and had a touch like a rhino but in both the everton and celtic games bendtner has showed us the potential he has, i think there aren't any transfers necessary for this current arsenal squad, the chase for a centreback is over with Gallas and Vermaelen proving themselves a solid partnership, midfield we are pretty much set, fourth place? EASY!

Leon Neill (man utd fan) says...

I am a Man Utd season ticket holder, but now live full time in Spain. I know through a very well connected contact at Real Madrid that the royals "did a deal" for Ribery ages ago. This was the same guy that told me 3 months ago that the Alonso deal was done, and lo and behold it was. Interesting is that the Ribery deal is likely to be the same as the Ronaldo deal, we knew Ronaldo had been sold to Real a year ago with the agreement he would stay at Utd one more season. So if true like the other 2 were Ribery deal is done and Bayern will keep him 1 more season or at least until Jan. By the way, more worrying is that Real have a yearly summer transfer budget now of up to ¿300 million. It is complicated to explain on here why, but is based on sound financial information, as crazy as it sounds. They will just simply every summer, buy the biggest names and then worry later how they fit into there team.
